Dear Families,

It’s been an absolutely wonderful week around here! Between classic playground time and vibrant sidewalk chalk masterpieces, our students have been busy chasing bubbles and enjoying the fresh air. We also wrapped up NYS testing this week. Our students showed a great deal of perseverance while completing the assessments.

We have been making incredible progress on our Better World Day projects whenever the weather allows. Our 5th graders did a fantastic job cleaning up the Ripley Community Park, while our 2nd graders worked hard creating seed bombs for families to take home and plant. Our Kindergarteners showed amazing heart by hand-making cozy blankets for a local humane society. It is truly inspiring to see the impact our students can have on the world around them!

In addition to all that hard work, we took time this week to celebrate our students who exemplified perseverance, maintained great attendance, and showed a true dedication to reading. Speaking of reading, our students and staff have officially logged over 50,000 minutes on Beanstack within the past couple of months! It’s a huge achievement, so please remember to keep logging those minutes so we can see that number grow even higher.

This fantastic six-week program is designed to foster a love for reading and prevent the "summer slide" by keeping students engaged and having fun. Eagle U will operate three days a week and includes breakfast, lunch, and transportation for all participating students. It is a wonderful opportunity to ensure our students have a blast while staying sharp over the break.

Additionally, please note that on May 15th, students will be dismissed early at 11:00 am to allow for staff development.

Finally, May 19th, will be our annual budget vote from 2:00-8:00 pm along with our annual Art Show and Book Fair. The Book Fair will be the perfect chance to stock up on your favorite titles, and it is BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! Plus—every purchase of $50.00 or more gives you a chance to win one of three amazing drawings for $25, $50, or even $100 in FREE Scholastic books! 🎉It’s going to be a night full of excitement, art, community, and of course…books!

Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see everyone on Monday!
