I hope you all have had a wonderful week! It has been an absolute joy walking the halls and seeing the incredible energy our students brought to school over the last few days.
Last Friday, sixth graders united to honor local heroes. Stepping outside the classroom, these young students carried a profound mission to ensure no veteran's sacrifice is forgotten. With quiet respect, they walked the cemetery grounds to place a bright American flag at each headstone.
5th grade went on an adventure to learn all about conservation! Students learned about bees, watersheds, the history of flight, forestry, alpacas and maple syrup. They had a great day learning all about these topics and are excited to share the knowledge they learned with you!
As we continue with Mighty Milers, Physical Education, and daily recess, a quick reminder about safety from the ground up; please ensure your children are wearing proper footwear to school. To keep everyone safe and injury-free running and playing, crocs and sandals are not permitted for running activities. Sneakers or sturdy closed-toe athletic shoes are the way to go!
Finally, as a reminder, there will be no school from Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Additionally, our Spring Concert will take place Thursday, June 4, at 6:00 PM; we ask that students and families plan to arrive by 5:45 PM so we can get everyone settled and ready for a wonderful evening of music.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see everyone on Tuesday!
