MEET THE TEACHER:
My name is Denine Noonan, and I have been teaching at Ripley for 20 years. In my years at Ripley, I have co-taught high school History, Math, and Science. In my personal life, I have been married to my husband Keith for 31 years. I have two adult children, Matt and Halle. I have one cat (Mr. Whisker’s). When I am not teaching, I love spending time outdoors, gardening, taking long walks and boating on Lake Erie.
ACADEMIC & CURRICULUM:
This school year I am coteaching with Mrs. Erika Meredith and helping to support sixth grade students with their academic needs in RTI and Special Education. In sixth grade we are currently working on Argumentative Essay’s, Debating, and reading Fiction books. In Math we are working on Area of geometric shapes. In Science with are working on Measurement and creating Hypothesis statements.
· Homework Policy: Students have math and reading homework every night except on Friday’s. There is a reading and math log in the back of their homework folders to be initialed daily. When a student forgets to bring their folders back to school the next day. Students who complete their homework in the 10 minutes provided daily do not have any homework to complete.
