Students who finish breakfast early have been enjoying their mornings with the Mighty Milers Club. During breakfast time, they get extra time in the small gym to exercise, and rack up those steps! It’s a fun and gives students another great reason to arrive at school early.

Important Announcement: School Closed on Monday, December 2 Due to ongoing inclement weather and additional snow expected, we have made the decision to cancel school for Monday, December 2. This closure will give our school staff, local and state officials, and community members the necessary time to manage the conditions and ensure everyone's safety. Please stay home, keep warm, and stay safe. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding!

The 1-3rd grade after school club for coding began today. Over 20 students learned how to use use a code to move their Bee Bots across the floor. They had to revise their code when they realized the Bee did not do what they thought they told it to do. Great job using grit and revision!

Students in grade 2-6 have been invited to participate in our November Writing Contest. Over 30 students volunteered to write stories for our October Scary Story Contest. We are hoping for even more this month. The students loved reading their teachers stories last month and encouraged them to continue sharing. All of the teachers are writing stories this week. Please encourage your child to participate (we can type their handwritten stories if that is easier for them). All of the entries will be displayed in the hall. Consider writing one yourself and sharing it with your child.

Students in the Musical Club are hard at work learning their lines and choreography for Disney's Jungle Book Kids. The school musical is one of my favorite traditions at RCS, and it’s always exciting to watch our students shine on stage.
